William "June" Richburg, Jr., the son of the late William and Rosa Lee Richburg was born June 3, 1929, in Cross, South Carolina.
After a brief illness on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 2:30 PM, God called June to his home in heaven.
June was self-educated. He attended St. James Missionary Baptist Church until his health began to fail him in November 2022. He worked at Holly Hill Lumber Company, laying pipes for the gas line throughout South Carolina, but he always returned to the land. June had a passion for farming and raising hogs. June farmed for over 70 years.
In 1954, he married, Juanita Washington, that union was blessed with Dianna, Delaine, Wayne, and Delores.
Siblings who preceded him in death were Leroy Richburg, Benjamin Richburg, Paul Richburg, Ethel Mae Richburg, Jesses Richburg, Annie Ruth Richburg-James, Mary Ann Gamble, Edward Richburg, and Robert Cleve Richburg.
Many cherished and fond memories linger within the hearts of those who loved him. June leaves to celebrate the life he lived, his devoted wife of 69 years, Juanita W. Richburg, his children, daughter-in-law. Tammy Richburg, grandchildren, Rodegia Richburg, Ebonee Oliiver, Denise (William) Brown, Kevin Shannon, and Tyler Richburg. Great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Richburg, Kasyn Shannon, and Bella Brown.
Brother, Melvin Richburg. Brothers-in-law, Johnell Washington, and George (Debbie) Washington. Sisters-in-law, Laura Mae Simmons, Ora Lee Broughton, Evangelist Barbara White, Flora Richburg, Susannah Richburg, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, and lifelong friends. Please adhere to all COVID-19 precautions and guidelines when visiting the family and funeral home. Masks are required. NO VIEWING AT THE CHURCH!!!!
