Mr. Thomas (Monkey) Daily, son of the late David and Regina Daily, was born in Holly Hill, South Carolina on October 19, 1946. He entered into eternal rest on December 14, 2022, at his home in Holly Hill.
Thomas grew up in the Unity Community of Holly Hill, where he received his education. Looking for a better opportunity for his life, he moved to Miami, Florida. After many years there, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where he worked for the Utility Company for 20 years and retired from there. After retiring, Thomas moved back to his hometown of Holly Hill and reconnected with his home church, Greater Unity A.M.E. Church. He later moved his membership to New Way Church of Holly Hill. Thomas was a person who never met a stranger. You could always find a place to stay at Monkey's place. He enjoyed visiting family and friends, and he loved a cookout.
He leaves to cherish his sweet memories: his three sons: Connell Gore of Las Vegas, NV, Tommy Searcy, and Sammie Searcy, both of Boston, MA; his two daughters: Lisa Avant Barbosa of Boston, MA, and Sabrina Gore of Key West, FL; brothers: George Daily of Mami, Fl; Vandy (Annie Ruth) Daily of Oxon Hill, MD, and Tommie Lee (Shareka) Howell of Holly Hill, SC; sisters: Allean (Freddie) Cokely of Holly Hill, SC and Thelma Riley of Columbia, SC; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a special cousin Samuel Daily; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Please adhere to all COVID-19 precautions and guidelines when visiting the family and funeral home. Masks are required.
