It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Ruth Margaret Clark, 89, of Holly Hill, South Carolina, who transitioned on Monday, August 25, 2025, at her residence in Holly Hill, South Carolina. The family will be receiving friends and family at the residence from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM daily. Please adhere to all COVID-19 precautions and guidelines when visiting the family and the funeral home. Masks are recommended, but not required.
Ruth Margaret Clark Life Reflections
Our beloved Ruth Margaret Clark, daughter of the late Adam and Estelle Clark, was born on July 18th, 1936, in Holly Hill South Carolina and entered eternal rest on August 25th, 2025, at her home.
Ruth grew up and attended Holly Hill public schools. She graduated from Roberts High School with the Class of 1977 after going back to receive her High School diploma. During this time, she pursued and studied homemaking and developed a passion for sewing. Ruth had a passion for excellence and serving God, Family and spreading the Gospel.
Ruth was a member of the New Galilee Christian Church at an early age where she gave her life to Christ and received The Gift of The Holy Ghost under the Leadership of Pastor Charlie Goodman. She was a dedicated member serving as an ordained Missionary, singing on various choirs, working with the Youth ministry, Directing the sunbeam choir, Prayer Band and many more assignments for the Lord. She was a Powerful Prayer warrior and loved reading the word of God. She could often be found on Sunday morning Praising and singing melodies from her heart during Praise and Worship.
Preceding her in death, sons, Donnie and Franklin Clark; daughter, Chenita Faye Clark; sisters, Lille Mae Simmons, Virginia Mack, and Annie Mae Williams; and brothers, Earl Clark, Benjiman Clark, Adam Clark Jr., and Miller Clark.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories her husband of 67 years, Charles Clark; three daughters, Cynthia Ruth Lyles (Allen) of Waldorf, MD, Sarah Mariea Brown (Pastor Kevin) of Hollywood, SC, and Madline Nadine White (Morgan) of Goose Creek SC; nine grandchildren, Sakelia, Kendall, Marquel, Devin, Trey, Kendra, Joshua, Janae, and Nadia, 14 great grandchildren; sister, Jannie Greer of Waldorf, MD, brother, Allen Clark (Marilyn) of New Carrolton, MD; two sisters-in-law, Emmie Lee Clark of Holly Hill, SC and Edna Clark of Wooten, Maryland; four special cousins, Pearl Davis, Beneva Lambright, Lillie Bell Grant, and Leroy Grant (Jr) deceased and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
