Roosevelt Elmore is affectionately known as “Duke” the son of the late David Elmore Sr., and the late Mary White was born on March 16, 1938, in Holly Hill, South Carolina. Roosevelt departed this life on February 17, 2022, at Vivian Healthcare in Charleston, South Carolina. Roosevelt was married to the late Irene Jennings to this marriage they were blessed with four children.
Roosevelt leaves behind to cherish his memories: one daughter Rose Mae Elmore of Holly Hill, SC, three sons Roosevelt Elmore, Jr., (Veronica) of Orangeburg, SC, Curtis Elmore (Deedra) of Enoree, SC, and Randy Elmore of McCormick, SC. The grandchildren are Nana Sharday Elmore, Calvin Elmore, Darine Elmore, Curtavious Elmore. Roosevelt also leaves behind a sister Minister Lealia Greene of Atlanta, Georgia, and a special niece, Cynthia D. Elmore Gethers of Cross, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
