Mr. Robert Lee Hunt, the son of the late Mr. Thomas and Minnie Lue Hunt and Mr. Leroy Elmore and Mrs. Annie Mae Gailliard Perry was born on January 3, 1950 in Orangeburg, SC. He transitioned into his new home on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg, SC.
Robert received his formal education from the public schools of Orangeburg County. He was a 1968 graduate of Roberts High School in Holly Hill, SC. He also attended Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College in Orangeburg, SC. Robert served as Sergeant in the United States Army and served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1971. He was a member of The Garrison of Logo, Florida.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Willie Mae Clark-Hunt of Eutawville, SC.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sallie Ann Gilliard; three brothers, David Perry, Leroy Elmore, Jr., and James Elmore.
Robert leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Willie Mae Clark of the home; his sons, Thomas (Temeka) Hunt of Orangeburg, SC, Steven Jermaine (Iris) Hunt of Highpoint, NC, and Benjamin Williamston of Philadelphia, PA, and Dawan Clark of Columbia, SC, Derrick Clark of Eutawville, SC, and Harold (Vanessa) Clark of Texas; his daughters, Shondell Jones of Philadelphia, PA and Denise (Kenneth) Baker of Columbia, SC; his sister, Louise H. Hines of California; his brothers, Richard (Shirley) Elmore, Charlie Elmore, Robert Lee Elmore, and Johnny Elmore all of Vance, SC; twelve grandchildren, Zhane, Zaron, Vikerion, Cokely, Deronre, Bennell, Artise, Inay, Channse, Antonio, Deon, and Dyani; his mother-in-law, Lizzie Mae Clark of Eutawville, SC; eleven sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
