It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Rebecca Ferguson Christopher, 75, Hanahan, South Carolina, who transitioned on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at her residence. Please adhere to all COVID-19 precautions and guidelines when visiting the family and funeral home.
Rebecca Ferguson Christopher Life Reflections
Rebecca F. Christopher, the daughter of the late Mr. Isaiah Ferguson, Sr. and Mrs. Sarah Huggins Ferguson, was born on April 3, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on June 23, 2024.
"BECCA" as she was affectionately called by her siblings and "GRANNY" by her grandchildren, graduated from Laing High School.
Rebecca was a cook at well known restaurants in Charleston, SC and surrounding areas; Sea Biscuit Cafe, Alexs' Restaurant, and Pappys.
Rebecca is survived by her three daughters, Lisa Ferguson-Tucker (Rodger) of Beaufort, SC, Andrea Brown-Gilliard (Bobby) of Ridgeville, SC, and Chearse Smalls of Charleston, SC; fourteen grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Margaret Ferguson of Bronx, New York, Alfreda Jackson (Jackson), Jaine Thompson, and Albertha Ferguson all of Boston, Massachusetts, Doris Hudson of Atlanta, GA, and Kathleen White of Charleston, SC; two brothers, Calvin Ferguson of Charleston, SC and Emmitte Ferguson of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and a special sister, Mary Perry (Arnold) of Charleston, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
