PAUL ANTHONY BRADLEY LIFE REFLECTIONS
On November 19, 1990, God blew the breath of life into a bouncing baby boy born to Paul and Barbara Goodwin Bradley. They named this 6 lbs 15 ozs baby boy Paul Anthony Bradley, Jr. At an early age Paul became a member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church in Eutawville, South Carolina. Because of his love of God, he attended services faithfully.
“PJ” as he was affectionately called, started at Cross Elementary School and was a 2009 graduate of Cross High School, Cross, South Carolina. A proud Trojan at heart, Paul remained vigilant to his responsibilities as Class Secretary and always visited his alma mater.
Shortly after graduation, Paul’s undergrad experience began with MOVE and Spectra at the College of Charleston.
A socialite in every aspect, Paul began hosting prospective students as a Student Ambassador with the Office of Admissions MOVE program and joined Bonner Leaders where he was able to make meaningful relationships and took part in Service Saturdays, Outreach, and trips abroad to Morocco, Africa. Paul worked as an RA in George Street Apartments, Tutor Coordinator for Upward Bound, served on the Student Government Association, and sang with the College of Charleston gospel choir D;Vyne Purpose. On May 11, 2013, Paul graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science.
In 2013, Paul relocated to Statesboro, GA, where he started the journey to obtain his Master of Education in Counselor Education, Student Services in Higher Education at Georgia Southern University. While dedicated to his degree, he became a Graduate Assistant for the Office of Student Activities and completed internships in a variety of other campus departments until he graduated in December 2015. Putting his Master’s degree to use, Paul joined the Augusta University Student Life & Engagement Office as Program Coordinator for Student Involvement until August 2018. In Augusta, he oversaw large-scale campus programming and advised the student activities programming board. Also while in Augusta, Paul was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where he served as a part of the Usher Board.
Paul returned to his alma mater, Georgia Southern University in September 2018 as the Assistant Director of Student Activities at Georgia Southern Armstrong Campus in Savannah, GA, where he expanded his professional work with campus programming and advising along with serving on a variety of university-wide communities and facilitating presentations. Paul was also active in national professional organizations by attending and presenting at conferences and volunteering on committees.
In Fall 2021, Paul began his doctorate degree journey at the University of West Georgia in Higher Education Administration. As he was very committed to his scholarship, he finished coursework with a 4.0-grade point average and was preparing to write his dissertation.
Paul was a very outgoing person, never meeting a stranger, and loved by all that he met. He loved taking “usies!” Few people can say they don’t have a picture with Paul.
On Friday, June 30, 2023, God in his infinite wisdom called his faithful servant to rest at Memorial Health, Savannah, Georgia.
