Patricia Ann Gavin Hawkins, the daughter of Mr. Eddie (Wilhemenia) Gavin and the late Winnie Mae Snider Gavin was born October 18, 1964, in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

On Friday, November 3, 2023, at Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital, Goose Creek, SC, God saw the road was getting rough and hills were hard to climb so he called her, “Come here to me,” she then closed her eyes and slipped into the loving arms of Jesus, where true peace and rest always abides.

Pat grew up in Cross, SC and attended the public schools of Orangeburg County. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was an active member at Greater St. Paul United Methodist Church and loved Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ more than anything. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, decorating from the DIY projects she learned from her favorite YouTube channels.

Pat was recently employed as a Direct Support Staff/ HAF Assistant at Berkeley Citizens, Inc of Moncks Corner, SC.

Pat was preceded in death by her sisters Gracie Wright and Lizzie Collier.

Pat and Kevin D. Hawkins, Sr. united in Holy Matrimony in 1996 and they were married for 27years.

Pat leaves to cherish her loving wonderful memories her husband Kevin; two (2) children Shakerria N. Montgomery and Curtis R. Montgomery of Moncks Corner, SC.; four (4) grandchildren, Master Nyzaiah J. Bailey, Master Isaiah S. Bailey, Little Miss Kay’laisia A. Montgomery, and Little Miss Journey E. M. Montgomery of Moncks Corner; five (5) bonus children Erica Hawkins, Kevin D. Hawkins, Jr., Jennifer Williams, Karen (Mark) Delesline, and Fredericka Wilson; eleven (11) bonus grandchildren: Jordin S. Pryor, Arianna S. McCants, Evelynn J. Hawkins, Abbriella H. Hawkins, Anthony L. Warren, Jr., Deasia M. Hagler, Donavahn A. Hagler, Dakari L. Hagler, Penelope M. Williams-Wilson, Zoey J. Williams, Zaria Williams; one bonus great-grandchild Casyn T. Barnes all of South Carolina.

Her sisters and brothers Mae Francis (James) Gaddist; Jacob ( Barbara) Collier, Walter Collier all of New York, Jerry (Alice G.) Gavin, Michael (Mattie) Gavin, Wesley Gavin, Shirley Gavin, Judy (Rev. Oscar) Cash, Marvin (Delores) Gavin, Charles (Lynn) Gavin all of South Carolina, Larry Gavin, James Gavin, Ellis (Jackie) Gavin, Jerome (Susan) Gavin, Sara Mae Gavin all of Massachusetts, and Carol Bailey of North Carolina; bonus sisters and brothers: Barbara Brown, Francina (Jerry) Cooper, Benjamin (Vanessa) Gethers, and Nathaniel (Shannon) Whitten. Three godchildren JaQuan Gavin Cross, SC; Javhon Collier, Fredericksburg, Va; and the late Jammey White; host of Aunts and Uncles; two (2) nieces Winette Gavin and Master Sergeant Jequetta Collier (USMC ret.), who she helped raised in her home and a host of other Nieces and Nephews; three (3) sisters-in-law and two (2) brothers-in-law. She also had too many friends from all over the world to even begin to count.
