Pamela Beatrice (Ravenell) Jones

Pamela Ravenell Jones, affectionately known as “Baby girl” by many, was born July 13 1965 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Perry Ravenell and Minnie Ravenell.  Unexpectedly, she entered into rest on Friday, January 12, 2018 at her home in Harvest, AL where she is awaiting the hope of resurrection.

Pam grew up in Holly Hill, SC where she attend school and graduated from Holly Hill -Roberts High school. She later moved to Boston, MA where she met and married Sherman Jones on April 27,1991. To this union, three children were born. As a military spouse, Pam resided in Jacksonville, FL, Landover, MD and Aurora, CO. After departing the military, they took up residence in Shelton, CT and later moved to Harvest, AL.

On November 3, 2002, in symbol of her dedication to Jehovah God, Pam was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She attended the Harvest, AL Congregation until her death. Pam will be remembered by many as one who loved to talk. If she knew your number, she would call you. If you were down, she would always have words of encouragement, logical down to earth advice and guidance to everyone on the phone or from door to door. Even standing in line at the department or grocery store, she always expressed her love for Jehovah.

Pam made many friends wherever she went and was well known for her love of shopping and boldness of speech. She had a great sense of humor, strength, integrity, dignity and courage. Pam will definitely be missed by us all.

To cherish her memories are: Her husband of 26 years Sherman Jones; three children, Allyson Jones, Ian Jones and Paden Jones of Harvest AL. Siblings; Terry Ravenell of Holly Hill SC; Delores (Isaac) Middleton, of Lugoff, SC; Gloria (Johnny) Young of Elgin SC; Bonnette Ravenell of Thornton CO; Cherry Washington (Carl) of Eutawville SC; James Ravenell of Miami FL; Minnie (John) White of Vance SC; Extended siblings;  Vonelle Glover of Charleston SC; Marvin (Annie) Glover of Holly Hill SC; Michael Farley (Barbara) of Randolph MA; a host of aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-law’s, brother in laws and many of family and friends. 

Pamela Beatrice Jones, 52, of Harvest, AL, formerly of Holly Hill, SC, departed this life on Friday, January 12, 2018 in Harvest, AL. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The body will be placed in the chapel at 10:00AM the day of service for viewing. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. The final resting place will be in Galilee Cemetery, Holly Hill.
