Mrs. Netha Green Washington, 81, of Elloree, South Carolina, departed this life on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Agape Care in Columbia, South Carolina. Inetha the daughter of the late Adam and Margatet Walker Gree was born November 12, 1939 in Holly Hill SC. and on March 30, she pulled off humanity and put on divinty as God called her home.
Netha spent her early life attending the public schools in Holly Hill SC. She served faithfully and became a member of ST. James Baptist Church in Eutawville, SC. Later she met and married the love of her life, the late Moses B. Washington. They moved to New York City in 1958. From this union they were blessed with two children, Curtis and Lynn.
Netha was a passionate woman, who wanted the best for her family. She loved sewing and became a seamstress. She worked professionally for many years in New York City.
Netha, later moved back to SC where she resided in Elloree, SC until her death in 2021.
Netha is preceded in death by two sisters and her only brother; Billy, Elizabeth, and Elouise.
Netha leaves to cherish her loving memories: two children, Curtis and Lynn. Nine grandchildren: Anatony, Tony, Dewayne, Christine, Alvin, LaShuana, Brittany, Jessica and Robert. 31 Great-Grands. Seven sisters: Maebel Davis, Edith Brown, Margaree Robinson, Lurine Glover, Eva Wigfall, Margie Howell, and Hannah Gaillard all of Eutawville SC.
