Nehemiah Leroy Simmons

Mr. Nehemiah Leroy Simmons, 81, departed this life at his residence in Eutawville, South Carolina on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. Nehemiah  was born on October 10, 1939 in Eutawiville SC to the late Sam Simmons and Juliann Sanders Simmons.  Nehemiah moved to New York at an early age.  He was employed at Mount Sinai Hospital as a cook.  He remained there until retirement.

He leaves to mourn:  his wife Barbara of the home.  Daughters:  Julianna (James) Henry and Earline Simmons of N.C., Selena Simmons of N.Y., Leslie Simmons and Shetia Simmons.  Sisters:  Helen Bennett, Bessie (Benjamin) Bryant of S.C. and Earthalee Small.   Brother:   Levi Simmons of N.Y.; special niece and nephews:  Javonia, Stanley Bennett and Sam Jr. Simmons, and a host of grandchildren, family and friends.
