Mary Ellen Deloach Howell Life Reflections
Mary Ellen Deloach Howell, a beloved matriarch, was born on February 12, 1945, in Swainsboro, Georgia, to the late Barney and Catherine Deloach. She was the eldest of four sisters.
Mary received her education from Booker T. Senior High School.
On July 5, 1961, she married William "Billy" Howell, and they had seven children together. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and First Lady of Full Gospel Deliverance Church. She was a faithful worshiper, attendee, and witness for the Lord, often referencing Psalm 121 as her guiding scripture. She lived her life according to this scripture “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.” Her favorite song was "Heaven," and she encouraged many to come to know Jesus Christ. Mary's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, and she fulfilled God's purpose until her passing on June 21, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her son, William Howell, Jr. (Michelle).
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Bishop William B. Howell; her children: Pastor Gwendolyn Williams, Bishop Lorenzo (Ursela), Tabitha Boyd (John), Pastor Jeremiah, Melvin (Marsline), Sherrie Howell, Althea Lindo, and David Jenkins; two sisters, Gladys Williams and Barney Ivy; Goddaughter: Unitha Brown; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other sorrowful relatives and friends.
May Mary's Legacy Continue To Inspire & Bless All Who Knew Her.
