It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Marshall Jamison, 71, of Santee, SC, who transitioned on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Summerville Medical Center. Please adhere to all COVID-19 precautions and guidelines when visiting the family and funeral home. Masks are required.
Marshall Jamison Life Reflections
Marshall Jamison, the son of the late Deacon Theodore Jamison Sr. and Deaconess Elizabeth Jamison, was born October 22, 1952, in Vance, South Carolina. He entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Summerville Medical Center in Summerville, South Carolina.
“Marshall” grew up in Vance, South Carolina, and was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County.
He was a graduate of Roberts High School class of 1970. He continued his education at Denmark Technical College, after which he started his business as a brick mason (Jamison Masonry). He was a loving man who cared deeply for his family and friends. He was known for cooking his famous stew chicken and rice, making candy apples for the kids in the community and his good ole southern sweet tea.
Marshall leaves to cherish fond memories his loving and devoted wife, Chris Jamison; two loving children: Yolanda (Tyrone) Sumpter and Eric (Renata) Jamison; two brothers: Theodore Jamison Jr. (Deloris) and Jerome (Shirley) Jamison; one sister: Verdell (Johnny) Johnson; two brothers-in-law: Joseph Johnson and Roger Wright; four sisters-in-law: Grace Hill, Alfredia Wright, Pelinta Parker, and Debra Wright; eleven grandchildren: Keavon, Machai, Josiah, Joshua, Judah, Laila, Channing, Demonte (Jasmine), Kentrell, Kayla, and Kemaurion; one great-grand: Avery; two uncles: Rev. Jesse (Margaret) Jamison and Thomas Gibbs; two aunts: Ruthie Fuller and Betty Frazier; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
