Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Lureen H. Abraham, 95, of Orangeburg, South Carolina, who transitioned on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Lexington Medical Center, Lexington, South Carolina.

Mother Lureen H. Abraham Life Reflections

Mother Lureem H. Abraham was born in Holly Hill, South Carolina, on November 22, 1927, to the late James and Eloise Holman.  She was married to the late Mr. Lucky Abraham.

Mother Abraham joined Live Oak A.M.E. Church at an early age. She later became a member of Refuge New Calvary Church where she served faithfully. She was a choir member and an avid Sunday School scholar, and became of her witness, wisdom, and dedication she was appointed as church mother.

Mother Abraham worked diligently in the service of the Lord. She shared the love of God with her children and others. She wrote and recorded songs entitled, "Jesus Is A Keeper" and "He's Coming Back Again". She wrote a tract that was shared with many in an effort to encourage and lead souls to Christ.

A woman of strength and integrity, honorable and reliable, Mother Abraham was undoubtedly a true matriarch in her family. She was loved and respected by many who knew her. She was indeed a prayer warrior, who loved her family, her church, and most assuredly our Lord.

Mother Abraham was preceded in death by her son, Larry Abraham; as well as Marvin Shuler and Anthony Shuler.

Left to cherish this amazing women's legacy, and many fond and loving memories are her children: Mary A. Jamison (Harry-deceased), Daniel (Kathy) Abraham, James (Caroline-deceased) Abraham, Barbara Abraham, Leroy Abraham, Timothy (Crystal) Aabraham, Rose M.Richburg, Judy (Lawrence) Hall, as well as Arleen (Harold) Miller, Gwendolyn Shuler, Elaine (Frank) Goodwin, Sonja Shuler, along with 34 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters-in-law, Helen Clark, Mary Ann (John) Madden, Lucille Boone, and Dorothy (Greg) Mirabel; 2 brothers-in-law, Samuel Abraham and Isreal Jamison; as a vast number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
