It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Larry Hampton, 70, Eutawville, South Carolina, on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at his residence in Eutawville, surrounded by his family. Please adhere to all COVID-19 precautions and guidelines when visiting the family and funeral home. Masks are required.

LARRY HAMPTON'S LEGACY

Mr. Larry Hampton was born January 26, 1953, to the late Johnnie Hampton Sr. and Queenie Vogt Hampton of Greensboro, NC. He departed his life on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

He attended Roberts High School, a 1971 graduate, in Holly Hill, SC. Larry retired from Georgia Pacific Inc. after 31 years of service and started his own business as a mechanic.

Larry became a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and actively served in various roles. He consistently welcomed everyone with a warm smile and willingly offered assistance to anyone in need, showing no hesitation.

On August 25, 1979, he was joined in holy matrimony to Mrs. Rudean Young Hampton. This union was blessed with two sons.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Hampton, Sr. and two brothers, Johnnie Hampton, Jr. and Wilbur Bobby Guess.

Larry's loving memories will always be cherished by: his loving wife, Rudean Young Hampton; his children, Jonathan (Patricia) Hampton of Durham, NC and Kendall Hampton of Killeen, Texas; his loving mother, Mrs. Queenie Hampton; two brothers, Glenn Hampton and Nathaniel (Diane) Hampton; two sisters, Mrs. Patricia (Charles) McBride and Jeanette Hampton all of Greensboro, NC; two sisters-in-law, Jacqueline (Andrew) Montgomery and Beverly V. Guess; one brother-in-law, Charles Young of Eutawville, SC; three aunts, two uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
