Karen Jenkins Taste

Mrs. Karen Aretha Jenkins Taste, 51, of Cross, South Carolina, transitioned on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at her residence. Please adhere to all COVID-19 Precautions and guidelines when visiting the family and funeral home. Masks are required.

Mrs. Karen Jenkins Taste was born November 14, 1971, in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Rebecca Burch Evans and the late John Lewis Evans.

She attended the Charleston County School system, graduating from Stall High School in North Charleston, South Carolina. She furthered her education at Claflin College in Orangeburg, South Carolina majoring in the medical field.

She is preceded in death by: her father, John Lewis Evans; her mother, Rebecca Burch Evans; her sisters, Dottie White, Monique Davis, and Latrice “Tiny” Jenkins.

Karen was an exceptionally hard worker. She quickly moved through the ranks of medical contract consultant and facilitator at McKesson Medical and also again as a Medical Regional Team leader and supervisor at Catalyst Medical Solutions.

Karen loved the Lord dearly and loved her family to the best of her ability.

Karen leaves to adore her fond memories: her husband, Joseph Taste; her sons, Shon Parker and Tyrese McFadden; her siblings, Veldase Rivers, Frank White, Melvin Evans, Jennifer Base, Michael Jenkins, John L. Evans, Jr., and Jay A. Jenkins; her biological father, Earl Albert Jenkins; her grandmother, Lizzie Mae Clark; her father and mother-in-law, James and Lillie Taste; her grandchildren, Sha’niya Parker, Gabriel Durr, John Lewis Parker, and A’niya McFadden; and a special aunt, Mary Nelson; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
