Joshua Ramsay Obituary

Mr. Joshua Jonathan Ramsay, born on September 21, 1992 to the late Rose Marie Ramsay and Sylvester Price in White Plains, New York

Joshua accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Baptist Church, Mamaroneck, New York by Pastor Rev Dr. James E. Taylor.

Joshua was reared in both Mt. Vernon, New York and Holly Hill, South Carolina by his two maternal aunts: Mrs. Hannah Clark Leary (William) and the late Mrs. Isabella Clark Sellers (Jessie).

He received his formal education at Mt. Vernon Public School System, and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Private School also of Mt. Vernon, New York.  Joshua was an avid sportsman and enjoyed playing soccer, baseball and football. He received his high school equivalency diploma on August 10, 2010. He was briefly employed at Husqvarna of Orangeburg, South Carolina and later employed by Frontier Truck Wash, Columbia, South Carolina.

Joshua brought laughter and love to all he loved and cherished. He had an infectious smile, laughter and spirit.. He truly and dearly loved his family, friends and life whole heartedly

Joshua departed this life on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. He was proceeded in death by his mother Rose Marie Ramsay and father Sylvester Price.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: Mrs. Hannah Clark Leary (aunt), Mr. William Leary (uncle), Sisters: Mrs. Gladys Paulette Mikkelsen, Orlando, Fl., Miss Nymia Leary and Miss Nikya Leary, both of Holly Hill, SC; Brothers: Sylvester Price, Jr, Emmanuel Price and Thurston Price all of White Plains, New York, Travis Leary and Jarred Leary (USMC) of Holly Hill, South Carolina, Rev. Robert B. Clark (Dorothy)< Rev. Esau Clark (Betty) both of Holly Hill, South Carolina, Minister Minney Radcliff (aunt) of White Plains, New York, Minister Larry (uncle) Bowman (Emma) of West Haven, CT. Two nieces, Naomi Rose Bryant (holly Hill, SC) and Harley Alexander Mikkelsen, Orlando Fl. and a host of cousins and friendships.

Joshua will be missed, but his memory will live on in the little things, the small, everyday occurrences that we will remember and treasure; the laughs, the stories and smiles. He lived a life full of love, joy, peace, laughter and other memories too beautiful to ever forget. We will miss him immensely.

It is said that every life has a purpose to fill; his purpose was to make the world understand what love, family, friendship, goodness and humbleness was all about.

Goodness belongs in Heaven. And now he is watching over us with his gorgeous smilt.

May his soul rest in eternal peace!!!!
