Mrs. Jacqueline Elaine White-Singleton, the daughter of Billy and Dorothy Weldon was born on September 25, 1974 in Orangeburg, South Carolina and entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 26, 2019 at Trident Medical Center.
She grew up in Holly Hill and attended the public schools of Holly Hill. She became a member of Galilee Christian Church where she served faithfully. On November 11, 2017, she was united in marriage to Mr. Kenyatta Singleton.
To know Elaine or “Jackie” as her friends would call her was to definitely love her magnifying smile. Elaine spent her life serving others. Elaine was a loving and caring woman and enjoyed spending time and cooking for her family and friends. She was the family chef. Elaine worked for Dorchester School District II at Ashley Ridge High School.
Elaine was the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Eartha White Sr. and the late Carrie Bell Weldon and William Britt of Ridgeville, SC.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: her husband, Kenyatta Singleton of the home; five sisters, Kim Weldon of Ladson, SC, Shaina McKenny of Sullivan County, NY, Virginia Myers of Holly Hill, SC, Jeanette (Ernest) Garner of Andrews, SC, and Cynthia (Loneal) Blevins of Woodstock, GA; four brothers, Tyrone Weldon of Lawton, OK, Marion (Kiawonda) Weldon of Ladson, SC, Derek Merchant and Justin McKenny of Sullivan County, NY; four aunts, Carrie (Robert) Williams of Andrews, SC, Mary White and Lutricia Gilliard both of Cross, SC, and Eartha Lee Roberson of Newark, NJ; three uncles, Joseph (Lula) White Jr. and Johnny (Deborah) Haney both of Newport News, VA, and Jerry (Alice) Gavin of Cross, SC; twelve nieces, one in which she raised as her own daughter, Zariah Weldon, Whitney, Shertia, Tynajsia, Kristin, Keosha, Trinity,Taylor Elaine, Nariah, Ivy, L’Nia, and Oliv,ia; fourteen nephews, Tyrone Jr., Marion Jr., Vi’Sean, Averi, Terrell, Desmond, Terrill, Kamell, Aaron, Algernon, Kavares, Loneal “Dennis”, Joshua, and Devonte; one grand-niece, Serenity; one grand-nephew, Trayvon; a very special friend, Barry Polk, and a host of cousins and friends.
