Mrs. Hannah Grace Leary, 78, died Saturday, October 1, 2022, peacefully at home.
She was born on April 30, 1944, in Holly Hill, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Otto and Everlou Clark. She married William Leary in 1968, in Mamaroneck, N.Y.
Hannah was a hard worker and worked for Aetna Insurance Agency for 20 years from which she retired. Then she came out of retirement and worked 10 more years for Allstate Insurance before retiring again and moving back to Holly Hill.
Hannah was very involved with her church in New York, First Baptist Church of Mamaroneck. She was a member of the usher board and mass choir, and she held the seat of the president of the building fund. She continued her church activities when she returned to Holly Hill, where she is a member of Greater Target AME Church. She was involved with meals on Wheels, the Soup Kitchen, The Trustee/Stewardess Board, the Senior Angelic Choir, and the former president of the Women's Missionary Board.
She is survived by her husband William Leary, and daughters: Gladys Paulette Leary-Mikkelsen (Gregory Cowan), Mymia Leary, and Nikita Leary. Her sons, Travis Leary and Jarred Leary. Her brothers: Robert Clark (Dorothy) and Paul Clark (Betty). Her granddaughters are Hayley Mikkelsen and Naomi Bryant. And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
