Eva Mae Johnson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Eva Mae Johnson, 88, of Cross, South Carolina, who transitioned on Sunday,  June 4, 2023, at Pruitt Health- Moncks Corner, Moncks Corner, South Carolina. 

There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens "Ecclesiastes 3:1

A time to be born: Eva Mae Johnson, the daughter of the late Phillip Johnson and Eliza Pinkney Johnson, was born on October 3, 1934, in Cross, South Carolina.

A time to die: Eva departed this life peacefully on June 4, 2023, at Pruitt Health Nursing Home in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She was raised and educated in the Berkeley County area.

Meeting her at the gates are her siblings that preceded her in death, brothers, Isaac Johnson (Pearl), Elias Johnson, and Heyward Johnson, and sisters, Ida Gilliard and Ethal Lee Burney.

Family Left Behind:

Eva is survived by her three children: Julius Johnson, George Halls, Jr., (Ralphine) of Cross, South Carolina; Diane McKenzie (Allister) of Brooklyn, New York. sisters, Annie M. Thompson, Marie Lee, and Betty Richburg of Cross, South Carolina, and brother, Timothy Ferguson (Richardine) of Cross, South Carolina.

Grandchildren: Steven Halls, Shaneka Halls, Dion McKenzie (Shanon), Devon McKenzie. Great-grand: Sydney Storm NcKenzie, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
