Deja Tanise Gaines was born September 6, 1995 in Miami, Florida to Lorraine N. Gaines and Marvin Gates. She attended grade school in Miami, Florida and was a graduate of Ridgeview Senior High School Columbia, South Carolina. Deja attended Denmark Technical College pursuing a major in cosmetology, and was in the process of becoming an entrepreneur, using her God given talent of making hair pieces and wigs.
