Benjamin "Benny" Goodwin, Sr

Mr. Benjamin "Benny" Goodwin, Sr., was born on June 22, 1946 in Vance, South Carolina. He departed this life for his eternal home on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Whitaker Goodwin and Mrs. Lula White Goodwin-Powell.

At an early age, Benny joined Live Oak A.M.E. Church. He was a family man and made friend with everyone he came in contact with.

Benny was a highly valued employee with General Motors in New York for most of his adult life until he retired in 1996 and return to South Carolina to enjoy his retirement.

Benny leaves to cherish his memories: his three daughters: Angela Goodwin, Benita Goodwin and Saja Mobley-Goodwin; One son, Benjamin Goodwin, Jr; Thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; Two sisters, Genevieve Ash and Geralease (john) Green; Two brothers, James Goodwin and Walter (Peggy) Goodwin, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  Please adhere to all COVID-19 precautions and guidelines when visiting the family and funeral home.
