Anna Jean Bradley Life Reflections

Anna Jean Bradley was born on March 22, 1940, to her doting parents Samuel and Alma Husser in Ridgeville, South Carolina. She attended Little School House in Husser Town. She and her siblings, Helen Mack Briggs (New York) and Juanita H. Rivers (South Carolina) shared a special bond and their hearts will forever be knitted together with cords of love.

Her joy for life and unwavering faith in God kept her pushing through life's challenges. She started her early Christian experience at Zion AME Church. In her teen years, she joined Poplar Hill Christian Church in Cross, South Carolina. In her adult years, she joined St. Mary Baptist Church located in Coral Gables, FL under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Zachary W. Royal. She was actively involved in ministry as she served faithfully on many different committees. One of her favorite songs to lead in the choir was "I Am A Living Testimony" and the words to that song served as a testament of her life.

Anna was a beautiful person inside and out, whose smile had the capability to light up the whole room. She cared so deeply for the people around her which is why she worked diligently in the medical field. For many years, she worked at South Miami and Larkins Hospitals and the surrounding medical facilities. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.

Following their courtship, Anna married Leon Bradley and to this union, God blessed them with seven children: three in which preceded Anna in death. Later in life, Anna gave birth to her last child, which made her the mother of 8 children. She provided for her children and grandchildren with all of the love, comfort, and stability a family could ask for. With her family, she enjoyed traveling especially to Ridgeville, South Carolina just to be greeted by freshly caught fish, homemade BBQ, rice pudding, pecans, and her mom's recipe for Fruit Cake. Anna had a favorite saying, that you would often hear her quote such as "Do Not Rush. It's Okay Baby, Get Understanding.”

On April 23, 2023, God called her home to be with Him and reunite with her children, Kenneth (Veronica) Bradley. Priscilla (Levi) Rave, and Thaddeus Bradley in Heaven; left to cherish the sweet memories are her adoring children: Nathan (Senovia) Bradley of Georgia, Jeanette Bradley, Anthony Bradley, Timothy Bradley of Washington DC, and Kimberly (Juan) Rodriguez; host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; her forever sisters, Helen Mack Briggs of New York and Juanita H. Rivers of South Carolina; her goddaughter, Quasia Battle of Philadelphia; loving friends and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Servant of God well done! Rest from Thy loved employ...

The battle was fought, the victory is won, Enter into thy Master's Joy!
