Andy Mark Washington Life Reflections
Andy Mark Washington, affectionately known as Mark, the son of Clorie Ann Washington & the late Joel “Joe” Richardson, was born on December 21, 1964. He was reared by his grandparents, the late John & Lula Washington. He transitioned on Monday, April 10, 2023, in the same way, he lived his life quietly at home.
As a child, he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and attended Silas United Methodist Church, Eutawville, South Carolina.
Mark, known for his handsome smile & quiet nature was educated in Orangeburg School District. Following his High School graduation in 1983, he attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College & earned a degree in Welding. Thereafter, Mark ventured to New York City and made Albany, NY his home where he continued employing his skills in welding and carpentry.
Mark was always fun to be around because he would always tell a good joke to make everyone laugh. As a teenager, he enjoyed horseback riding on his horse “White Lightning”.
Mark was preceded in death by grandparents: John & Lula Washington and Samuel & Viola Richardson.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Clorie Ann Washington; brother, Jeremiah (Jacqueline) Washington; two sisters, Angela Washington and Renee’ Doctor; two nephews, Terrel Washington and Garry Doctor; three nieces, Shantelle Doctor, LaToya Washington, and Ashley Doctor; eight uncles, Jim P. (Margaret) Washington, Samuel (Diane) Richardson, Harry Richardson, James (Kaye) Richardson, Lawrence Richardson, Richard Richardson, Paul (Elizabeth) Richardson, and Jerome Richardson; ten aunts, Doris Alexander, Lillian (Joseph) Riggins, Gloria (John) Mazyck, Louise Washington, Emily (Stanley) Gillens, Sandra (George) Halls, Ernell (James) Dingle, Pearl Johnson, Lucille (Leroy) Pinckney, and Jayne (Kirk) Prescott; cousins who he grew up closely with, Nicole W Dixon, Laura Washington, and Carol Ann Washington; a very special friend, Jacqueline Billingsley; best friends, Charles Rickett and Limburgh Johnson; a host of other relatives, cousins, and friends.
