Abraham "Isaac" Pinckney Life Reflections

Mr. Abraham Isaac (Zik) Pinckney, son of the late Sampson “Strongman” Pinckney and Martha Green-Pinckney was born November 8, 1934, in Cross, SC.  He departed this earthly life on November 11, 2023, while surrounded by family in his home.

Issac was employed with ExxonMobil and retired after working many years  In addition, he provided funeral services as an employee at Eutawville Community Funeral Home.  At an early age, he became a member of Jehovah A.M. E. church and served as a member of the Trustee Board, Senior Ushers, the Male Choir, and served as the church yardman. He was also a member of Jehovah Lodge #351. Family and friends enjoyed sitting and talking with him because his love for people would always shine through with his warm smile, stories, and jokes!  The kindness of his heart moved everyone who would encounter him.  He was a giver, and he believed in pouring into others without expecting anything in return.

Isaac was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Rebecca Carrie Pinckney on December 22, 1962.  To this union, four sons were born. A special niece, Hester Glover, was also raised in the home.  Brother Isaac was devoted to his wife and made sure she received whatever she asked.  He was a loving father and modeled for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren the importance of helping others and simply being good to people.

His loving wife of 50 years, Rebecca Carrie Pinckney; his son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Virgestine Pinckney; his parents; two sisters, Nancy & Rosalee; and two brothers, William and Wesley Pinckney all preceded him in death.
