Thomas Johnson

Thomas Johnson, affectionately known as “Billy” was born November 24, 1946 in Eutawville SC to the late James Lee Johnson and Jesse Mae (Doctor) Johnson both of Eutawville. He departed this life on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, SC.

Billy was the second oldest of eight siblings five of which preceded him in death: Virginia McGee, Henrietta “Emma” Hunt-Ejide, James Johnson Jr., Isaac Johnson, and Rebecca Johnson. He is survived by two brothers, Willie Johnson (Janie) of Dorchester, Massachusetts and Kenneth Johnson (Nellie) of Eutawville, South Carolina; his niece, Charlene Doctor of Eutawville, South Carolina, and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family.

As a young man Billy attended Roberts High School in Holly Hill and later took a job in the construction business as a brick mason. He was really a jack-of-all-trades.

At an early age he became joined in holy matrimony to the late Lounette Bradley of Cross and together they had two children Jerry Lee Johnson whom God called home as a child and Zachary Donnell Bradley (Paula) of Atlanta, GA.

Billy was also blessed with four grandchildren, Dominique Glover who preceded him in death, Mr. Dontrel Bradley, Ms. Danielle Holback, and Ms. Porshe Jefferson.

Billy was well known by many in the community. He enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors and having a good time.

He will be missed!!!
