Richard Taste

Mr. Richard Taste was born on August 31, 1957 to the late Charlie and Mary Taste in Cross, South Carolina. From this union, six children were born. Richard departed this life on Monday, November 18, 2019.

At an early age, he joined, Greater St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Richard was educated through the Orangeburg County Consolidated School District No. Three and graduated from Roberts High School in Holly Hill, SC and furthered his education at Orangeburg-Calhoun Tech College where he received his certificate in Welding.

Richard worked as a welder at General Dynamics and Limehouse and Sons until his health failed him.

Richard was so loved by many because he loved to have fun and make people laugh even in his disability. He met a lot of friends at Riverside Nursing Home and they treated him like a brother.

Richard leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving wife, Theresa A.B. Taste of Cross, SC; children: Allen (Erica) Taste of Cross, SC, Tangyenika (Adam) Clemmons of Las Vegas, NV, Deidre (Timothy Shaw of Santee, SC, Damion Watson of Moncks Corner, SC, Anthony (Quanza) Hamilton of Riverdale, GA, and Richard Eric Taste of Cincinnati, OH; two sisters and two brothers: Shirley (Rev. Jerome) Franklin, Diane (Herman) Green, Moses (Shirley D.) Taste, and Allen (Shirley) Taste; in-laws: Georgetta Kennedy, Willa Mae (Chris) Gadson, Deloris Morton, Byron (Joyce) Brown, Michael Brown, and Ricky Brown (proceeded in death); aunts: Janie Ruth Geathers, Lillie Desesaure, Anna Bell Suttin, and Mary Allen Yeadon; a very special cousin, Minister Sandra Nesbitt Gathers; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
