Ollie Johnson

Ms. Ollie Johnson, affectionately known as “Duppie” was born on June 6, 1927 in Providence, South Carolina and entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina.

She was a life-long member of Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church and received her education in the Holly Hill Public School System.

Duppie was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Walter Brown and Mrs. Riley Brown; her husband Mr. Robert Lee Johnson; a faithful companion of more than 40 years, Mr. Enoch Ravenell; a special nephew Jacob Brown; a great-grandson Master Lennox Bernard Johnson; and all of her sisters and brothers.

Leave to cherish her memories are her blessed children: Tommy (Maybell) Johnson, David Johnson, Danny Johnson of Santee, Bernard (Jennifer) Johnson of Summerville, SC, Mary (Bernard) Buskey of Lexington, SC and Brenda (Darrell) Riggins of Jacksonville, FL; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. Two brothers-in-law; one sister-in law, a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends; and a very special niece Julia Abraham, all who will miss her dearly.
