On Tuesday morning, March 13, 2018 the Lord decided he needed one more angel and he summoned Neomie Oliver Stokes to come rest in her Heavenly home.
Mrs. Neomie Oliver Stokes is the daughter of Mr. George Oliver and the late Mrs. Lottie Snell Oliver whom she has now joined in the loving arms of the Lord. She was born on October 27, 1962 in Bronx, New York where she obtained some of her early education.
At an early age she joined Springfield Missionary Baptist Church and began her personal walk with God.
She attended South Carolina State University in order to obtain her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration so she could eventually start her business. Neomie's Floral Design and More launched in 2002.
She met and married Mr. Jerry O'Neal Stokes and to this union they were blessed with four children.
Neomie leaves to mourn her passing: her beloved husband, Mr. Jerry O'Neal Stokes; her father, Mr. George (Mary) Oliver, Sr. of Greeleyville, SC; her mother-in-law Ms. Annie Mae Stokes of Eutawville, SC; two daughters, Ms. Shameka Stokes of Orangeburg, SC and Ms. Erica Stokes of the home; two sons, Mr. Jerry Terrell Stokes of the home and Mr. Eric Stokes of Clemson, SC; two brothers, Mr. Roy (Carol) Oliver, Sr. of St. Louis, MO and Mr. George (Wanda) Oliver, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Ms. Michelle Oliver of Charlotte, NC; three brothers-in-law, Mr. Lawrence Stokes of Texas, Mr. James Stokes of New Jersey, and Mr. Harry (Robin) Stokes of New Jersey; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Annie Hudson of Fayetteville, NC; two stepsisters, Maryland Glover of Connecticut and Debbie Glover of Greeleyville, SC; three stepbrothers, John Glover and David Plowden both of Greeleyville, SC, and Anthony Glover of Connecticut; one aunt, Eva (Frank) White of Oxon Hill, Maryland; two uncles, Deacon William James, Sr. of Eutawville, SC and Mr. Fletcher (Rosetta) Boone, Sr.; six grandchildren, Mekhi Stokes, Jaheem Huggins, Amiyah Brooks, Aniah Stokes, Eric Brooks, Jr. and Christian Davis; special friends, Jackie Blanchard, Wanda Gadson, and Olithea Brown White; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
