Moses LaCue, Jr. the son of Myra Pooser LaCue Smiley and the late Moses LaCue, Sr. and the late William Herlong Smiley was born on June 28, 1967 in Queens, New York and departed this life on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at his home in Eutawville, SC.

Moses attended St. James Elementary School in Eutawville, SC and PS24 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Jersey City, New Jersey. Moses was a lifelong member of the Jersey City Deliverance Center. Moses was employed by United Van Lines in Charlotte, NC and a computer repairer for CSR in Secaucus, New Jersey.

Moses leaves to cherish his memories: his mother,  Myra of the home; two sons, Quameel Harvey and PVT Moses Harvey (Kyrianna) of Seattle, Washington; one grandson, Khayden Harvey of Seattle, Washington; four brothers, Derrick LaCue and Mark Anthony LaCue of Eutawville, SC, William Herlong LaCue and Bryan LaCue of Jersey City, NJ; three sisters, Julia LaCue-Lee (Elijah) and Renee LaCue-Ellis (David) of Eutawville, SC and Myrna Smiley of Greensboro, NC; one adopted daughter, Jackie William; two adopted sisters, Shatan Tucker and Mamie Denise Walker; two adopted brothers, Marsette Goodwin and Ortha Eugene Stackhouse, Jr.; one godchild, Tomeka Walker; eight maternal aunts, Jannie Ladson (Roosevelt) and Justine Halls (Thomas) of Jersey City, NJ, Queen Jenkins and Constance Brown of Eutawville, SC, Margie Tilly and Judy White (Jerome) of Santee, SC, Mary Pooser Hunt of Holly Hill SC, and Pastor Jannie Pooser of Vance, SC; 1 maternal uncle, Hamp Pooser, Sr. (Hattie) of Santee, SC; one paternal aunt, Emma LaCue of Macon, GA; 3 paternal uncles, Errie LaCue of Jersey City, NJ, Frank LaCue of Macon, GA, and Joe Smiley (Norma) of Prichard, AL; eleven nieces and nephews, Asia Lester and Dyshawn Ladson of Jersey City, NJ, Brandon LaCue, Amy LaCue, Rhayna Lee, Duwyne Lee, David Ellis, Bryan Ellis, Detrick Jenkins, and Donavon Jenkins of Eutawville, SC, and Mya Smiley of Greensboro, NC; and a host of loving cousins and friends.
