Moses Davis

Moses Davis, Sr. son of the late Pompie Davis, Sr. and Lessie Davis was born in Eutawville, SC on October 20, 1946. He entered into eternal rest on October 9, 2018 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, Illinois.

He received his education in the public schools of Orangeburg County and graduated from Roberts High School. He later moved to Venice, Illinois and met a special friend, Leona Helms.

He is preceded in death by his son of Illinois; two sisters, Jannie Bell Ware and Minnie Mae Davis; and two brothers, Harry Lee Davis, Sr. and Pompie Davis, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his fondest memories: two children, Moses Davis, Jr. of Eutawville, SC and Larry Davis, Sr. of Orangeburg, SC; one grandson, Larry Davis, Jr. of Orangeburg, SC; three sisters, Stacy Mae Burch, Lois (Willie) Blanding, and Elizabeth (Willie) Myers all of Eutawville, SC; two brothers, John (Marie) Davis and Benjamin (Shirley) Davis of Eutawville, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
