Michael Brown Obituary

Michael Bernard Brown was born on April 21, 1975 in Bronx, NY, the only son of the Late Willa Mae Middleton Brown.  He departed this life on Friday, August 30, 2019, after a brief illness at Lincoln Hospital, Bronx, NY.

Michael grew up and attended the New York City Public School System.  Michael is the only boy with five sisters.

Michael worked at the New York, Grand Hyatt Hotel, KJM Snapple Distributors and most recently had been working at Ace Corner Hardware in Brooklyn, NY as a Commercial Truck Driver, up until he became sick in August 2019.

Michael’s personality was as large as he was.  He was quiet, respectful and humble.   Sometimes you wouldn’t even know he was in the room unless you spoke to him.   But he loved talking to the kids.  He “loved” his mother’s cooking immensely and would always have her cook one of her famous dishes (either macaroni and cheese or fried chicken) to take to the outings of his friends.

Michael loved to travel, hip hop music, good food and playing video games.

He was preceded in death by his loving Mother Willa Mae Middleton Brown.  He is survived by his Father, Rudolph Hines, Richmond, VA, sisters, Patricia A. Brown, Sandra Brown, Bronx, NY, Felita Hines-Coles (Dexter) Richmond, VA, Lorna Hines-Diggs, Scotland Neck, NC, A’Shawn L. Mitchell (Renard), Tampa, FL; two cherished nieces, Karis Brown and Amari Whitley, Bronx, NY; three nephews Steven Bunce, Jr., Richmond, VA, Jarrett Jabari Collins, Durham, NC, and Major Mitchell, Tampa, FL; two uncles Johnnie Middleton (Rosemarie), Cross, SC, George Hines (Annie), Bronx, NY; cherished friends, whom were more like siblings: Hector Gonzalez (Martha), NJ, Taiwan Sanders, Brooklyn, NY, Anthony Cortes, Queens, NY, Lashawn Salas, Bronx, NY, Jazmin Rivas, Bronx, NY, Kenneth Figueroa, Baltimore, MD and Brian Simpson, Jersey City, NJ; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, neighbors and many cherished friends to mourn his loss.
