Larry President Obituary

Larry President, affectionately known as “Nick” was born on November 30, 1958 to Francis Jr. and Azalee S. President. Nick departed this life on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Mt. Pleasant, SC.

Nick was a member of Zion UM Church and attended the public schools of Berkeley County. He graduated from Cross High School with the class of 1976 and later attended truck driving school at National’s Training, Inc. in Orange Park, Florida where he received his CDL. For many years, he worked as a brick mason with his father’s business, President’s Masonry. He later started his own business, L & J Masonry. Over the years, he added construction to his list of services and began remodeling homes and adding patios and sunrooms to people’s homes all over the state of South Carolina. His motto was, “No Job is Too Big or Too Small”.

In 1976, Nick met the love of his life, Jestine Wiggins. They entered in holy matrimony on August 7, 1982 and this union was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Latasha Jenaye and Charona Ashley.

Nick was a loving father, brother, and friend. He brought smiles to the faces of many people and always kept people laughing.

Two brothers preceded him to the grave, Jerry and Bernard “Van” President.

Nick leaves to cherish his fondest memories, his wife, Jestine W. President, two daughters, Latasha Jenaye of Port Wentworth, GA and Charona Ashley of Columbia, SC; a son-in-law to be, Calvin Jackson of Port Wentworth, GA; his parents, Francis Jr. and Azalee S. President of Cross, SC; four sisters, Francina President of Cross, SC, Annette President of St. Stephen, SC, Claudette President of Ridgeville, SC, and Theresa (Duffie “Hulio”) Johnson of Huger, SC; two brothers, Charles “Mickey” (Connie) President of Ladson, SC and Jasen “Nard” (Nichole) President of Summerville, SC; his mother-in-law, Carrie Mustapher of Pineville, SC; five brothers-in-law, Louis “Chafter” (Annie Mae) Wiggins of Opa Locka, FL, Mackie Wiggins Jr. of Miami, FL, Alphonsa Jr. (Delores) Mustapher of Pineville, SC and Tyrone (Monica) Mustapher of Charlotte, NC; thirteen sisters-in law, Mary Hilton, Noami Wiggins, Shirley Mae (Lindsey) Wilson, and Jamiammie Collins all of Miami, FL, Lavinia (Elton) Cleveland of Pineville, SC, Kimberley Wiggins of Austell, GA, Shirley (Wilbur) Robinson of Moncks Corner, SC, Gloria Starks of Goose Creek, SC, Angeline (Classe) Thompson of St. Stephen, SC, Geneva Mustapher of North Charleston, SC, Genese and Elaine Mustapher both of Pineville, SC, and Renee (Chuck) Peterson of Columbia, SC; Special nieces and nephews he loved as his own children, Marilyn “Pooh” Wiggins, Latoya Starks, Rakeyia Johnson, Nadia President, Craig Ravenell, and Zamir and Zarell McFadden; brothers from another mother, Frank Pinckney, Eugene “HoTet” McClue, and Tommy and Elijah Robinson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
