Joshua Svwin Jenkins, the beloved son of Joseph and Delories Jenkins was born January 14, 1987 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 15, 2018 in Bishopville, South Carolina.
Joshua attended the public schools of Orangeburg County Consolidated School District Three. At an early age, he was baptized, and he attended Springfield Missionary Baptist Church.
Joshua was employed by his family’s business, “J & J Masonry;” working side by side with his father the owner, his brother, and other family members. This employment stimulated Joshua’s enormous love for family. Joshua had a huge heart; he was quick to give to anyone who appeared to need support. Around Joshua, you did not have to ask for help, he gave it freely.
Joshua was artistic, poetic, and had a huge love for music. He drew and wrote many pictures, poems, and songs that will inspire us as we treasure them forever.
Joshua leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted parents, Joseph and Delories Jenkins; one brother, Joseph Bernard (Angela James) Jenkins; two sisters, Kimberly Bernardette Jenkins and Terrica Evelina Jenkins; nieces, Antoinette Clark and Shante James; nephews; Antoine Clark, Treyvion Collier, and Jayden James; grandnieces; NyShana and Sha’Niya; and grandnephews; NyShaun Clark and Jayden James. A special friend, Adam “AG” Gaines, a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
