Joseph Williams, affectionally known as "Toot", son of the late Cas and Josephine Williams, was born May 25, 1950 in Holly Hill, South Carolina.
He attended Roberts High School then later graduated from Trident Technical College as a welder. Joseph was a welder for General Electric from 1969-1972. He was later employed by Blue Circle (Lafarge) as a maintenance repairman until he retired.
Joseph was a hardworking man who only worked two jobs most of his adult life. After retirement he loved to sit around town and talk with people.
He was proceeded in death by his mother, father, and brother, Hazel Williams.
He leaves behind with sweet memories: three daughters, Amanda Williams, Rhonda Williams of the home, and Sawatha Grant of Holly Hill, SC: three sons, Joseph Williams Jr. of the home, Tyrone Summerson of Holly Hill, and Kendrick Summerson of Summerville, SC; two grandchildren of the home, Demarius Williams and Tia Williams; three sisters, Martha Williams of Holly Hill, SC, Mary (Julius) Strong of Charleston, and Mary Ann Brown of Ridgeville; four brothers Adam (Veola) Williams of Holly Hill, Johnny (Elizabeth) Williams of Holly Hill, Micheal Williams of Charleston, and Wade Williams of Holly Hill; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Williams of Bronx, NY; four aunts, three uncles, eight grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, a special friend, Delphine Fowler, and other loving friends.
