Jack Davis Jr.

Jack Davis Jr. was born on November 14, 1951 in Vance, SC to the late Mrs. Elease Holman and late Mr. Jack Davis Sr.  He was reared by the late Mrs. Emma Mae Davis.  He transitioned to his new home on Saturday, October 20, 2018. 

He was educated at the Elementary School in Vance SC and graduated from Roberts High School on May 28, 1970. He was enlisted in the U.S. Army from February 24, 1971 until February 23, 1973, serving in the Vietnam War. Mr. Davis was also employed by Cash and Carry Wholesales, Charleston SC for forty years before he retired. 

He joined Live Oak AME Church in Vance, SC at an early age. 

Mr. Jack was married to the late Mrs. Annette Davis and to this union three children were born.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Emma Mae Davis; father, Jack Davis, Sr.; and a special nephew, Williams Davis.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: two daughters, Mrs. Lawanda Davis of Orangeburg, SC and Mrs. Rosalyn Davis of Santee, SC; one son, Mr. Deron Davis of Vance, SC; one brother, Mr. Melvin (Cassandra) Davis of St. George, SC; two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice D. Gadson of Vance, SC and Mrs. Julia (Donald) Head of Eutawville, SC; aunts, Mrs. Ollie Mae Wilson of Santee, SC, Mrs. Lureen Abraham of Vance, SC,  Mrs. Barbara Goodwin of  Harleysville, SC, and Della Tennet of Santee, SC; uncles,  Mr. Charles Goodwin of Harleysville, SC and Mr. Johnny Lee (Anna Hellen) Goodwin of Ridgeville, SC; grandchildren, Daequan Ellison, Derwan Frasier, Roniyah Davis, Khaleya Edwards, Marvis Edwards, and Marvelle Edwards.
