On behalf of the entire Shuler and Embassy of King Christ Jesus Church family, I would like to offer sincerest condolences to the entire Clark family, as y'all mourn the loss of your mother, Mrs. Gussie Mae Clark. Because of this beautiful lady, I got to know some classy, God-fearing people from Holly Hill, SC. She fed me and many other people with her cooking skills. Just recently, Hayes Samuels and I were talking about how sweet of a person she was, and what an awesome cook she was, because she had also fed him some of her country cooking. As I grew older, and came to know Jesus, I also came to understand why her children were so sweet and humble: it was the Jesus in her life that she shared with them. Clark family, we want y'all to know that we are lifting y'all up during this difficult time, and that Mrs. Gussie's love and sweetness touched many people, even some of my friends over here in Clarendon County, where I now live. I had no idea she was so well known. Earth truly has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Your Jewel will be missed by many.

On behalf of my siblings and I, we THANK YOU for the post you gave on the positive influence our momma had on your life. She was very SPECIAL to us and reading your entry we can see she was important to you as well. Again, THANK YOU because although it doesn't make the pain of the void she left in our lives any easier, it does add to the comfort that her living was not in vain.

December 29, 2017 9:56 AM

My condolences to the family in the loss of your dear loved one. There is nothing more painful in life then losing a loved one in death. Our loving God Jehovah understand how you feel because death was not a part of his original purpose for mankind. According to Genesis 1:28 and 2:8,9,15, God's purpose was that the first human couple (Adam & Eve) have children, extend the boundaries of their garden home (Eden) earth wide, and take care of the animals. But because of their disobedience they sinned and died. Thus we all inherited sin and death from them (Romans 5:12). All is not lost though, Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) has made a provision that we can still enjoy what Adam lost (everlasting life on earth) because of his willful rebellion.(Gensis 3:17,19) At John 11:25 Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life.” Meaning he has the authority from God to resurrect those who have fallen asleep in death back to life with perfect health on a paradise earth in the very near future. Imagine living at a time when sickness, death and all the problems we face now will be gone forever! We can have confidence in this because Jehovah's words always find complete fulfillment (Isaiah 55:11).
