Derrick Spann Obituary

Derrick Bernard Spann, affectionately known as "Rick" entered into eternal rest Wednesday, July 17, 2019 unexpectedly. He was a resident of Syracuse, NY for over 20 years. He was the youngest son of the late Ophelia Spann-Lewis and Franklin Broughton and the grandson of the late Reverend Robert and Ardonia Spann. Rick's full-of-life loving, caring and free spirit will be cherished and remembered by his brother, Proteus Earl; Uncles: Lawrence (Julie), Robert and Ronnie Spann; Aunts: Pearlie President, Pernell (Sammie) Glover, Ruth Spann and Gloria (Albert) Bailey; A host of cousins including Vertell (Earl) Brantley, countless other relatives and friends who all miss him already.

The final resting place will be in Zion Cemetery, Cross.
