~ A Time to Be Born ~
Mrs. Deborah Ann Ashby President, daughter of the late Frank and Angerine Snell Ashby was born January 9, 1963 in Orangeburg County.
~ A Time to Education ~
Deborah better known as Deb grew up in the Eutawville Community. She attended St. James Elementary School and graduated from Roberts High in the class of 1981 in Holly Hill, South Carolina.
~ A Time to Serve ~
Deb proclaimed discipleship to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Vance, South Carolina.
~ A Time to Love ~
Deb was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Kenneth Jerome “Reggie” President. The couple was blessed with a princess Sha’Quana Me’Shay President.
~ A Time to Labor ~
Deb worked in Orangeburg and Dorchester counties. She was employed by numerous companies, American Yard Product, Force Protection, Imagine One, Peagus Steel, Eutawville Postal Service, Stricks One Stop, Bills Dollar Store, Dollar General Store and The Twirl. She was a faithful worker providing for her family. She kept a Job!
~ A Time to Die ~
Mrs. Deborah Ann Ashby President departed her life on December 21, 2019 at Pruitt Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Aiken, South Carolina after a brief illness.
~ A Time to Mourn ~
Deb leaves to cherish loving memories: one daughter, Sha’Quana Me’Shay President; an adopted son, Quentin Tyrell Ashby of Eutawville, SC; three granddaughters, Zi’Kemya Geathers, Arianna Williams, and Ky’Nadia Simmons of Eutawville, SC; three sisters, Michelle (David) Walters of Holly Hill, SC, Latasha Ashby of Eutawville, SC, and Candi Scipio Hewlett of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, Franklin Ashby and Anthony Ashby both of Eutawville, SC; seven aunts, Della Brailsford of Brooklyn, NY, Mary Ann Anderson of Eutawville, SC, Jannie (Sammie) Gilliard of Holly Hill, SC, Lottie Mae Snell of Santee, SC, Flossie Snell and Mary Snell both of Vance, SC, and Cynthia Ashby of Orangeburg, SC; two great grand aunts, Daisy Smalls of Holly Hill, SC and Madline Wearing of Jersey City, NJ; six uncles, Jefferson (Juanita) Ashby of Eutawville, SC, Elder Benjamin (Shirley) Snell, Sr., Thomas (Alicia) Snell, Sammie (Alfair) Snell and Michael Press all of Holly Hill, SC; and Johnathan Snell of Vance, SC; mother-in-law, Pearlie President of Cross, SC; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Pettigrew of Cross, SC, Doris (Troy) Walton of Atlanta, GA, and Juanita President of Eutawville, SC; two brothers-in-law, Mike (Coretta) President of St. Stephens, SC and Bernard (Geraldine) President of Salters, SC. Deb was loved and known as Nana to Jordan, Sha’Myria, Ny’Jada, Sa’Miyah, Dayvion and by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
