Alice Evans

Alice ‘Sister’ Middleton was born July 10, 1931 in Cross, South Carolina. She was born in a Christian family, where love and respect for God was there. Her parents were Nelson and Nellie Mae Johnson Middleton.

Alice grew up with her brothers and sisters in Holly Hill, South Carolina. Her basic education was received in the public schools of Holly Hill. She met the man of her life, John Evans, and after a courtship they got married in 1949.

On January 24, 2019, Alice was called home to meet her maker, leaving many left to share her precious memories to include: three sons, Isaac Evans of Columbia, SC, Roland (Patricia) Evans of Sumpter, SC, and John Evans of Columbia, SC; three daughters, Alice Edwards of Miami, FL, Ladonna Dye of Columbia, SC, and Bernice (Anthony) Williams of Columbia, SC; devoted sisters, Victoria Hamilton of Miami, FL and Cathy Vickers of Douglas, GA; sister-in-law, Ernestine Davis of Columbia, SC; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives, and sorrowing friends.
