Life Reflections
Katherine High Dailey, lovingly known as (Bootee), was born June 1, 1937, in Eutawville, SC to the late Mr. Johnnie High and Carrie Burch High. She departed life, transitioning to a heavenly angel on February 23, 2024.
Katherine attended public school in Eutawville, SC. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her lord and savior as a member of Silas United Methodist Church and continued her faith walk until her call to glory. She was a member of the Senior Choir and the United Methodist Women of Faith.
Katherine was a devoted mother, grandmother, and auntie who enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandkids. She was a spiritual woman who enjoyed listening and being a problem solver. Katherine took pride in reading her bible and indulging in solving her Christian crossword puzzles.
In 1953 Katherine married her best friend, Joshua Dailey, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1971. Even though she was widowed at a young age, Katherine was blessed with a large, loving family whom she leaves to cherish her fond memories: 8 children, 6 girls, Mattie M. (David) Mintz, Carrie L.. Grant, Betty J, Stokes, Joyce J, (Jeffery) Burton, Ernestine McCord (Cookie), Valerie (Kelton) Beaty and 2 sons, Josh (Shirley) Dailey, Jr.,& Robert (Sabrina) Dailey.
Katherine also leaves to cherish her fond memories;17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is survived by one sister, Azilee Yeadon, one sister-in-law, Dorothy High, both of Eutawville, SC and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She will be deeply missed by her friends family, and all who knew her.
